Hi,

i donno if this might be your issue but just wna to let you know, if you are using this for discussion boads and see (blank) items in you columns then it is because you have to select "Folder Content Type" in the Query property where it says Content Type and Discussions as the sub category..

Hi naresh,

I got the CategoryId fine...You can display any of yur custom field displayed.....With ECQWP u can display any fields u provided the ViewField and QueryOverride..with ur xslt given properly...what I feel is there might be something fishy with your XSLT..

try to compare with this blog..I could make it work out with this one....

Thanks for the reply. yes i have modified the xslt and added a template to display items in a grid form with headings. good news is that i get it to work after taking out the <query> tags from the CAML query. and the webpart is working great thanks to all the guys involved in this webpart development. and did you get the CategoryID get to work.. i hope you did, but if you not let me know as i have the solution to display custom fields in the webpart.

Have you done any modification in the XSLT (inside style library) for displaying the fields..????

HI Naresh,

Yeah, i have done it in 1 of the webparts i developed.

I created a webpart and its toolpart class( as we required custom filters alongwith OOB CQWP filters).

This webpart inherits from BaseByContentQuery webpart.

Override the query on init event of this webpart like

this.queryoverride="<CAML QUERY>";

Simlarly override this query on ApplyChanges of toolpart class

this.queryoverride="<CAML QUERY>";

It doesnt - this is basically the same webpart that comes out of the box. you'd have to develop one from scratch (not that hard) or buy a 3rd party one.

I am facing the same problem. Every thing is ok. All xsl files are in ECQWP XSL Style Sheets folder.
my site are a team site and I activated all of it's publishing features.
CQWP work well But ECQWP doesn't work.

Is there some reason I can't uncheck Force Checkouts for Documents? I uncheck it, and if I go back into the settings its checked again. Grrr.

Hi Ishai Sagi,

I have added a CEWP webaprt on the same page as ECQWP and have added a java script for Cutom context menu. I have added a javascript for delete function which deletes the document from document library and send that to recycle bin and that works but it doesn't work when
the url of my site is behind TAM - Tivoli Access Manager. so in other words, unsecure site with ECQWP Delete function from CEWP works
fine but with security it gives problem. What it does - when I click on delete and press OK to confirm that I want to send the item
to recycle bin, it doesn't delete and takes user to that document library and as user doesn't have access to document library, it gives
the error - Access denied..

Please help.

Hi,

I am using an Enhanced Content Query web part and I have provided a CAML in the Query Override section to filter certain items in one list. It works fine for me. But I would like to have one more additional fields to get displayed along with 'Title' and 'Last Modified'.

I had modified the Common View Fields: as follows
CategoryID,Text

CategoryID is one of the fields in my list and is of single line text. Is there anything additionally do I need to do? Any changes in Styles. If yes, can anyone precisely tell me the the exact file and steps.
